The 28-year-old was up to fight the biggest bout of his career after winning four fights consecutively.

The retired UFC star, Chael Sonnen, took to his YouTube channel to let the world know about the health condition of the Portland native. By the end of the video, Sonnen mentioned that there is hope. He said, “We also had one piece of very good news and that was Chris’s wife was in the room with him and she told him this before they knew she was in there and threw her out but she told him ‘Hey here’s what’s going on and here’s what they think. If you hear me and you’re with me, I need you to blink’ and he did.“
Sonnen further added, “He did blink, so what you make of that I mean it was hope for me. I’ll tell you that I’ve gotten updates every single day and I’ll tell you there’s, I mean that was the one that I needed to hear.” ‘The American Gangster’s words are truly a relief for fans who want to see him get back stronger.

In the YouTube video, Sonnen details what Lencioni went through. Lencioni chose to go to a new gym because the people out there persuaded him to try new workouts with great people. At his new gym, the 28-year-old got engaged in MMA sparring. While he was working on his grappling skills, he suddenly started to experience something different.

Within no time, he lost consciousness. He was neither taking any hard training nor receiving any hard strikes from his teammates. The incident is quite unbelievers to many but is true. Soon after he lost consciousness, people in the gym dialed 911. However, he has not gained consciousness since then.
