The American podcaster hence makes some of the bold claims on the sport owing to his insights. Rogan also speaks about the world of mixed martial arts on his popular podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’. On JRE #1920 with Dave Portnoy, the UFC commentator spoke about his take on Bellator MMA. Moreover, he made a bold claim regarding the MMA promotion supporting Scott Coker’s statement, much to Dana White‘s anger.
Joe Rogan rates some Bellator MMA fighters highly
Joe Rogan gave his take on Bellator MMA. He regards some of the fighters in Bellator MMA highly and said they could even beat some fighters in the UFC. He explained to his guest, “Bellator was always considered like the B league… It was always like the guys who fought, there could never fight in the UFC. I was like maybe some of them. But I don’t think that’s the case with guys over there at Bellator. Guys like Douglas Lima that I could think could beat anybody in the world.”

Furthermore, the UFC commentator said in his podcast, “They just have to be in a situation where they could fight them.” Moreover, the controversial commentator gave an example of Ben Askren. He stated, “That’s what I felt about Ben Askren at that time. … He was so f*****g good man… His wrestling was so above and beyond of what everybody else’s was. He would get a hold of you. When you are going down you are going for a ride baby. And you couldn’t stand up with them because you are always worried that if you committed to a strike he’s gonna grab an ankle and grab your f*****g waist.”

After Bellator MMA vs Rizin event, Bellator MMA thrashed their Rizin counterparts 5-0. Moreover, the Bellator MMA President was asked what he thinks of his fighters. Scott Coker made a controversial statement regarding UFC and Bellator MMA fighters. He said, “We have fighters that could beat the UFC fighters.”
Furthermore, UFC President Dana White has put a full stop to a cross-promotional event featuring the UFC. The fans cannot compare the fighters head-to-head inside an octagon.
