The main event at UFC 249 just does not cease being the hottest topic in the world of UFC.
Jon Jones vs. Dominick Reyes was a controversial matchup, and one of those most vocal about it was Joe Rogan. HE went on a blasting frenzy, blaming the judges for their “insane decision” immediately after the fight ended.
Suddenly, Joe Rogan has changed his stance regarding the result of the fight. In his podcast, “The Joe Rogan Experience”, Joe Rogan decoded the fight with Rashad Evans.

The two were extremely precise in their judgments and reviews, even though Joe Rogan seemed completely flustered just 3 days back.
Rogan stated that he had spoken with a variety of people, including many experts, and based his analysis on the intel he gained by doing so.
According to him, Reyes was the clear winner of the first two rounds while Jones took home the 4th and 5th rounds. The third round is what seems to be creating confusion. Rogan said, “ The third round is the one that seems to be (up for grabs). Dominick scored more but it was close enough so you can see someone giving it to Jon particularly because Jon was pressing the action. If there is a disputable round, it was the third round.”
Yet, one thing remains the same. His thoughts regarding the judge who scored the fight 49-46. Joe Rogan said it was a blasphemous judgment and went on to describe various other such fights with similar judgments, possibly made by the same judge.
Joe Rogan finally also stated that the last two rounds count more. Applying a logic similar to that of John Kavanagh‘s, Rogan believes that it is much more difficult to grab the dominion of the octagon that late into a fight than in the earlier stages.
He said, “At the end of the fight if you got your a** kicked for the last four minutes but won the decision? That would be crazy. And at the end of the fight, Jon Jones was kicking Dominick Reyes’ ass.”

Rogan very correctly added, “Dominick Reyes touched greatness. I think he(Jon Jones) needed someone like Dominick Reyes to keep that fear going.”
