Conor McGregor just name-dropped Tiger Woods while he was in a heated exchange with a fellow UFC lightweight peer. The social media feud saw the Golf legend’s name coming up out of nowhere when The Notorious offered himself as ‘Tiger Woods’, but instead of a golf club and golf ball, he had a few nasty replacements.

The Notorious recently offered a counter to lightweight standout Rafael Fiziev’s signature head kick defense. The Tiger Muay Thai representative didn’t appreciate McGregor’s comments and told him to “stop living in fantasy world”.

This led to a back-and-forth which eventually saw both fighters going soft as Fiziev invited The Notorious to train with him.

“Think of me as tiger woods with a 12 iron and your nose as the golf ball. And think of me sprinting for it with a running switch kick and f**k your little bend back. You little bend back nobody b***h,” the Irishman surprisingly wrote, as earlier he used terms like ‘sir’ to reference Fiziev.

Referring to the ranked lightweight fighter’s gym, Tiger Muay Thai, he also wrote, “Tiger woods Muai Thai Dubai.”

Also, the #12-ranked UFC lightweight posted a snap of a small yard with a golf ball and wrote, “This is what your man’s nose looks like to a tiger like me.” McGregor deleted the tweet later.

The Notorious has appreciated Tiger Woods in the past. In April, when the 15-time major winner made a splendid come back for the Masters tournament. The Irishman, who is looking for his own return to the Octagon, congratulated Woods while taking inspiration from it.

The former UFC dual champion is nearing a comeback. He has posted videos of kicking pads with his previously injured leg. Thus, a return is knocking on the door.

Besides, multiple opponents are always there for Mystic Mac to choose from when he makes his next run inside the Octagon. But amid all that, the Irishman posted what he is seeking.

“Fighting everyday for inner peace,” he wrote on Twitter handle with his boxing gloves on and his hand placed on top of the ropes of a ring.

The former lightweight champion Charles Oliveira, who didn’t lose his belt inside the Octagon, action-packed Michael Chandler, and Nate Diaz trilogy are a few bouts the 33-year-old could return to.
