‘The Notorious‘ on his Twitter account, while praising the great, wrote, “Hats off to the Golf Goat @TigerWoods this weekend. Grit and hard work can combine for a comeback- the world is cheering for you.”
“Congratulations, my friend.”
The Irishman is going through a recovery process after his leg snapped in the first round at UFC 264 against his bitter rival Dustin Poirier, in what was a trilogy bout of the highest magnitude. Thus, he would look to replicate the success of the 46-year-old.
Woods‘ performance is remarkable as he’s been out of the game for so long. After suffering serious injuries from the car crash, the legend has not stepped to the field for almost one and half years.
Meanwhile, on the field, any of these didn’t hamper his performance as he performed as he had never left. The crowd was all behind the returning legend.
The five-time champion fed off of the crowd’s energy, as he called the atmosphere ‘electric’ after his eye-catching performance.
