UFC lightweights go head-to-head on the main card for UFC Vegas 34 as the promotion returns after a week-long hiatus. Vinc Pichel and Austin Hubbard are slated to deliver a show for the fans in what is expected to be a classic. Both men don’t hesitate to push the pace and a finish is likely in this contest.

The lightweight division has historically been one of the most prolific divisions in the UFC. That hasn’t changed despite the departure of Khabib Nurmagomedov as the undisputed champion of the weight class. The 155-pound division remains the marquee division of the UFC and both Pichel and Hubbard will want to be in the mix.

UFC Vegas 34: Vinc Pichel vs Austin Hubbard

Pichel is on a two-fight win streak and he picked up those two unanimous decision wins over Jim Miller and Roosevelt Roberts. The Factory X fighter is excited to show fans the new tools he’s added to his arsenal since training with the outfit. However, he’s still certain that his guts and glory style of fighting will shine through.

Pichel has just over half of his professional fights in the UFC and his experience plays a huge role in his fights. While he continues to remain a wild striker, he has opted for a more measured approach in recent years. With Hubbard not being a massive takedown threat, Vinc Pichel may look to let his hands go a little more.

Austin Hubbard is 2-2 in his last four fights and he’s coming off a unanimous decision win over Dakota Bush. He’s had his fair share of ups and downs in his 6-fight UFC career and he’ll be looking to gain some level of consistency. He’s looking to finally set up a winning streak with a dominant display over ‘From Hell’ Pichel.

Hubbard’s in-cage performances mirror his fighting style as he’s rather inconsistent under the bright lights. Chiefly, he’s not entirely energy efficient in the contest and tends to fall off through the mid-way point in the fight. However, he’s a powerful fighter at range and can set Vinc Pichel back if he’s able to maintain a steady pace.
