Saki is a slight favorite walking into this contest. He is currently riding on a 5 fight win streak. He is 4 years older than his opponent standing at 29 years. He’s just begun and is on the rise. He has a bright future ahead of him in the UFC.
His most recent victory came against Marcin Tybura in September 2019. He demolished him in a mere 59 seconds, ending it in less than a minute. Francis Ngannou aside, Sakai might be the hottest heavyweight in the promotion.

Sakai is also at a height advantage. Standing at 6’4” he has a 4-inch height advantage over his opponent who will walk in at 5’11”.

But Ivanov isn’t one to underestimate. He is one of the toughest the heavyweight division has ever seen. After facing a near-life-ending situation in 2012, he hasn’t quit. He lost over 100 pounds post the ordeal but bounced back stronger than ever. He is back to competing at the highest level imaginable.

Though he is the shorter on in the octagon, don’t sleep on his ability to do damage with his arms. He has never scored a finish with his arms, but a man that packs a jab as good as he should never be taken lightly. He must try and last the entire 3 rounds and hope to gain the victory over Sakai through prolonged damage over the course of the match.

Keeping in mind everything, their odds stand at Sakai -115 and Ivanov-105. Hoping that Ivanov is able to pull off an upset, there isn’t a sure shot prediction.
