American Rap icon, Eminem, had a huge showing at UFC Fight Night: Overeem vs Volkov after dropping a promotional video. Eminem took to Twitter and let his legions of fans know that he’s set for a massive video drop before the main event. Chiefly, there’s been plenty of hype around the music video after promotional snippets kept dropping.
True to form, prior to the main event, ‘The Real Slim Shady’s beats hit the mic, and fans were affixed. Not to mention, there were many UFC fighters featured in the video along with the UFC President Dana White. The entire genesis of the interest came in from a clip that saw Eminem roast White in an ESPN SportsCenter Segment.

UFC welterweight Kamaru Usman was also featured in the video, and his teammate Justin Gaethje shared his views on that. ‘The Highlight’ hilariously chimed in on Usman’s appearance and wanted to know the possible payday that came with it. The tweet was yet another in the laundry list of mentions that came in during the broadcast.
I’m sitting next to @USMAN84kg and I just asked him if he got paid to be in this new Eminem video…. 😆

UFC Fight Night: Alistair Overeem vs Alexander Volkov
Eminem’s video came in as the precursor to an exciting heavyweight main event that most certainly stole the show. ‘Drago’ Alexander Volkov beat down Alistair Overeem from pillar to post and earned the second-round TKO. Overeem was out of his depth and arguably looked flat when staring down the barrel of Volkov’s striking.

Referee Jason Herzog had no choice but to wave off the fight as Overeem dropped to the canvas, following a short blow. Moreover, Volkov looked exceedingly impressive against the cage and perhaps surprised Overeem with his mobility. He came in heavier than he’s been and yet his size didn’t hinder his movement when pressing forward.

Not to mention, the co-main event delivered in a massive way as Cory Sandhagen starched Frankie Edgar in 28 seconds. ‘The Answer’ doesn’t usually get his clock cleaned out, but the perfectly timed flying knee put his light out. There’s little debate as to whether Cory Sandhagen is now next in line to fight for UFC gold.
