UFC Fight Night: Daniel Rodriguez vs Dwight Grant

D-Rod’ is on an impressive 8 fight win streak, having last lost to Victor Reyna back in December 2017. With a win on Dana White’s contender series and a strong two-fight run in the UFC, Rodriguez will look to capitalize on his momentum. Chiefly, he’s already being looked at as a serious threat to Welterweights, given his well-rounded skill set.

Daniel Rodriguez brings in plenty of grit and toughness into a fight and can offset his opponent’s tempo and pace. Additionally, his crisp boxing, coupled with his famed durability, turns a technical bout into a firefight. Grant will have to be wary while facing Rodriguez so as to not be lulled into a brawl.

Dwight Grant heads into his main card appearance off the back of the biggest win of his professional career. He squeaked out a split decision victory over Alan Jouban and immediately put his contemporaries on notice. He has proven to be a tough campaigner and leaves everything out in the middle of the cage.

Grant lives up to his moniker of ‘The Body Snatcher’ as he frequently takes trips downstairs to gauge his range. Moreover, his check counters especially on his left side have played a huge role in discouraging rushed entries on him. Chiefly, he possesses freakish power for the weight class in both hands and is extremely dangerous when side-stepping into range.

Prediction: Dwight Grant to claim a third-round finish (Strikes)
