UFC Fight Night: Holm vs Aldana is the company’s 31st card headlined by a women’s fight. Holly Holm and Irene Aldana clash to move one step closer to contention at 135-pounds. The Preliminary card sees several newcomers to the promotion who will be keen to make their mark. Let’s take a look at how the preliminary card shapes up.
UFC Welterweights: Carlos Condit vs Court McGee
The preliminary card will draw to a close in the 170-pound division when Carlos Condit vs Court McGee square off. ‘The Natural Born Killer’ is on a five-fight slump and hasn’t looked like the Condit of old. What’s more, he’s 43 fights deep into his professional MMA career with significant damage absorbed over the years.

Court McGee is on a skid of his own, going 1-4 in his last five outings. A veteran of the game, McGee will look to re-center himself by picking off the aging veteran in Condit. Moreover, he has the ability to drag Carlos onto the mat and negate the striking disadvantage he possesses.
Prediction: Court McGee to claim a unanimous decision victory.
Featherweights: Charles Jourdain vs Joshua Culibao
Charles ‘Air’ Jourdain recently lost a tightly contested split decision to Andre Fili on June 2020. Despite the setback, he has been increasingly active and has honed his skills as his 10-3 career has taken shape. His opponent, Joshua Culibao, is also coming off a loss to Jalin Turner In a fight that wasn’t competitive. The American Top Team fighter has come across as tentative when facing an advancing opponent, and Jourdain could pose problems.
Prediction: Charles Jourdain to claim a second-round TKO victory.
UFC Middleweights: Jordan Williams vs Nassourdine Imavov
9-3 fighter Jordan Williams has gone 1-1-1 on Dana White’s Contender Series, most recently scalping a win. Despite being nascent in his career, he has faced good competition in Bellator MMA and CFC. His confidence will be at an all-time high after coming off a scintillating first-round KO on September 15, 2020.
Newcomer Nassourdine Imavov will be looking to crack it in the big leagues against Williams. The MMA factory prospect is riding on a five-fight streak and will look to make a major splash in the promotion.
Prediction: Nassourdine Imavov to claim a second-round TKO victory
Women’s strawweight: Loma Lookboonme vs Jinh Yu Frey
Thai kickboxer Loma makes her way against Jinh Yu Frey and is coming off a loss to Angela Hill. She displayed grit and toughness in the bout, and the 4-2 fighter took Hill to the scorecard. However, she has shown a weakness to the jab and will face adversity against the range-based Jinh.
Jinh Yu Frey has a fan-friendly style that more often than not leads to exciting scraps. Her experience fighting in Invicta FC will give her the edge on paper. What’s more, she is a master of jabbing from the outside and score damage as the fight plays out.
Prediction: Jinh Yu Frey to claim a split decision victory.
UFC bantamweights: Casey Kenney vs Heili Alateng
Casey is favored to triumph over the 14-7 fighter out of China in Heili Alateng. Casey Kenny has fought the who’s-who at 135-pounds, including Merab Dvalishvili and Ray Borg. Not to mention, he’s coming off a slick submission win over Louis Smolka. Not one to be explosive, Heili could be in trouble if he enters the power side of Casey.
Prediction: Casey Kenny to claim a first-round KO victory.
UFC lightweights: Luigi Vendramini vs Jessin Ayari
The night of fights will be kicked off by a 155-pound contest between Luigi Vendramini and Jessin Ayari. ‘The Italian Stallion’ is coming off his first career loss to Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos back in 2018. Moreover, the 16-5 fighter in Jessin Ayari is also coming off a long lay-off after losing two straight bouts. The inactivity could unfortunately play out in a bout that sees both fighters tentative from the opening bell.
