UFC heavyweight veteran Derrick Lewis emerged victorious against Aleksei Oleinik at the main event of UFC fight night. Despite, his win Lewis gave a hilarious post-match interview while breaking down his fight.
Lewis tried to take down Oleinik who’s a submission specialist. “The boa constrictor” tried on his famous scar-hold submissions, however, Lewis managed to survive the round.

Derrick Lewis reveals he struggled during the choke
Speaking to Megan Olivi, Lewis admitted that he was in a bad position during the choke.
“He did exactly what we talked about him doing. And, he did everything even that little bulldog choke. The last one I did, I started to tap cause I started to gurgle and scream like a little girl and I can’t tap I couldn’t go out like that.” Said Lewis during the post-fight show.
With this victory, Lewis broke the record for most knockouts in the heavyweight division. The black beast has racked up a couple of impressive wins and has thrown his name into title contention.

“It’s crazy. I still can’t believe that I’ve got the most knockouts. It’s a crazy feeling because of all the great heavyweights before me. … Watching Brock Lesnar and Cain Velasquez, all those guys for all those years. Seeing they didn’t accomplish what I did, I’ve just gotta stay humble about it.” Said Lewis during his post-fight interview
Derick last had a shot at the title against Daniel Cormier. However, DC managed to successfully defend his title.
Lewis is on a 3 fight win streak, and with this win, he has potentially secured a fight against the winner of Cormier and Miocic. Also, Lewis revealed he won’t be accepting fights until he can drop some weight, and is looking to fight next in December. Lewis has mentioned that he’s not comfortable fighting at this weight and will need to drop some pounds.

This date would be perfect for the winner of the heavyweight title fight, as it would give both fighters time to prepare.
Derrick Lewis is at the peak of his career and is keen on securing a title shot very soon.
