UFC Fight Night was graced by the presence of legendary John “The Magician” Dodson. He went up against Nathaniel Wood in the Bantamweight showdown.
The fight started with Nathaniel Wood taking up most of the offense whereas John used his swift pace for counters. While he was able to avoid the majority of low kicks thrown by Wood, he took the damage of a straight right and a hook, along with a few other jabs.
The second round saw John Dodson take over a little bit of control. He connected various jabs and punch combos and meanwhile, Wood also caused his share of damage. Wood also accidentally placed a kick at John’s meant-to-be-treated-nicely s. A brief halt was observed and as the kick didn’t fully connect, Dodson was back within seconds. The round continued and saw John do his classic thing.

With a sudden burst of energy, Dodson backed Wood into the fence from one end of the Octagon to the other. He surged ahead with speed, throwing punches at Wood. The two were tangled in a punch-for-punch when the round came to a halt. The fighters butted heads while backing into the side and Nathaniel dealt with a swollen cut which was well taken care of by the ringside professional.
