Hasbulla Magomedov has become a household name for combat sports fans. He is a fan of the sport and even appeared at UFC 267. He was there supporting Islam Makhachev and other fighters in Khabib Nurmagomedov’s team. The Russian sat on the octagon side and later entered it with Makhachev and Nurmagomedov.

The internet sensation recently attended the Eagle FC 43 event. Khabib Nurmagomedov owns the promotion, and during Hasbulla’s appearance, he talked to the media. The media asked him about the event and how he would rate it compared to UFC. He said, “The event is just fire to be fair. I’d give 51% to 49% in favor of this event.”

He was later asked about joining the promotion as a matchmaker. However, he was happy being present as a guest and was not interested in that idea. He also talked about not being interesting in fighting Abdu Rozik anymore, and his former partner spread lies about selling his fight to Dana White. But he also believes nobody will book a fight between him and his rival. As it will be too expensive and only a few people will pay for it.

Eagle FC is the new home of Kevin Lee

Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s MMA promotion made another high-profile signing. They signed the former UFC interim lightweight title contender Kevin Lee on a multi-fight deal. The news of his signing was first reported by Ariel Helwani.

The UFC released ‘The Motown Phenom’ in November 2021. Since the news of his release came out, a lot of promotions were looking to sign him. However, Khabib’s promotion seems to have won the race for his signature. This comes as huge news for the promotion as they look to make their debut in the U.S. Their first event in the country is planned for January 28, 2022.

Former UFC fighter Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva and Tyrone Spong will headline the event. Former UFC light heavyweight champion Rashad Evans and former UFC bantamweight champion Renan Barao are also part of the growing roster.
