UFC commentator Joe Rogan sat down with Snoop Dogg who appeared on a recent episode of his Spotify exclusive podcast. Both men had plenty to talk about during their three-and-a-half-hour-long ‘Joe Rogan Experience’ podcast special. Among those topics was Jake Paul who is one of the newest entrants into the landscape of boxing.
‘The Problem Child’ is 4-0 as a professional and is coming off back-to-back wins over famed former UFC fighters. He first defeated former Olympian Ben Askren via TKO and then took a five-time UFC welterweight champion, Tyron Woodley, to the distance. Paul has shown that he’s taking the sport seriously and has aspirations for a world title.

Will Jake Paul ever face an active UFC fighter?
Fans want to see Jake Paul against a UFC fighter in his prime so that Paul’s true ceiling in the sport will be clear. The YouTuber turned boxer is going head-to-head against fellow pro boxer Tommy Fury, but fans are wondering if a marquee MMA fighter awaits him in the future.
Joe Rogan commented on the same and ended up shooting down the idea of Jake Paul fighting an active UFC star fighter. According to Rogan, UFC President Dana White won’t be inclined to contractually allow one of his fighters to go into the boxing ring. However, if the match-up proves to be lucrative enough, anything is possible.

“For them [UFC fighters] to get free from a UFC contract they currently have, I don’t think Dana White is going to do that. Maybe if they thought they could make a lot of money and there was someone like a current UFC fighter and they could arrange it.”
Dana White has clearly expressed a disinterest to co-promote with any one given fighter/promotion alongside the UFC. However, when it came to the box-office attraction of Floyd Mayweather vs Conor McGregor, Dana White changed his tune.
It remains to be seen if the UFC kingpin will be inclined to send over stars like Jorge Masvidal or Nate Diaz to face Jake Paul. One thing is for sure, the mass appeal of such a match-up would be astronomical for all parties involved.
