Colby Covington has given fighters weird nicknames. While many of them are funny, some are distasteful. Chiefly, the one he gave to rising UFC star Khamzat Chimaev. Even Joe Rogan finds it ‘rude’. However, Mike Tyson doesn’t agree with the JRE podcast host.

Recently, Joe Rogan joined ‘the baddest man on the planet’ on his podcast ‘Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson’; The duo also shared time on Rogan’s JRE podcast episode #1805, and it appeared Rogan was returning the favor.
Anyhow, the two had a lengthy conversation where they talked about combat sports, primarily UFC and boxing, besides them catching up with things happening around the world.
Before talking about the Russia-Sweden prodigy Khamzat Chimaev‘s performance at UFC 273, Tyson and one of his counterparts had trouble getting the proper name of ‘Borz’. At one point, Tyson even said, “Who’s Hoggamash?”
Rogan chuckled upon hearing that and cleared their doubt about the name and also mentioned what the former interim welterweight champion, Colby Covington, calls him.
“Khamzat Chimaev… He is from Chechnya,” said Rogan. “Colby Covington calls him ‘c**shot’. It’s very rude.”
Rogan’s comment caught Tyson‘s attention, who asked, “He calls him what?”
Subsequently, Rogan asserted, “He calls him ‘c**shot’.” However, Rogan criticized the nickname as he called it, ‘very, very rude’.
Tyson’s co-host Sebastian Joseph-Day even mentioned that the UFC middleweight champion, Israel Adesanya, also referred to Chimaev with the same name when he appeared on the show.
Joe Rogan discussed Khamzat Chimaev vs Gilbert Burns – Who won at UFC 273?
Talking about one of the fastest rising stars in the UFC, Rogan asked Tyson whether he saw Chimaev’s last fight against Gilbert Burns at UFC 273. After Tyson suggested he didn’t watch the fight, Rogan informed Tyson that ‘Borz’ just beat the #2 welterweight in the world.
Upon Tyson’s comment that Chimaev dominated Burns, Rogan said, “No, it was a close fight… It was a very very good fight. Some people even thought Gilbert won.”
Chimaev battled out a unanimous decision victory after suffering a knockdown in the second round. The ‘people’s main event’ at UFC 273 saw Chimaev take a lot of punishment in the fight. Coming into the fight, ‘Borz’ had only absorbed one significant strike in the UFC, while against Burns, he took over 100.

It’s tough to say who actually won the fight, as it was very close. However, Burns didn’t mention any issues with the scoring but wished the bout was a five-rounder.
