The upcoming bout between Anderson Silva and Jake Paul has the fans on edge. Both Silva and Paul are counted among the greatest fighters. Even the beloved UFC commentator, Joe Rogan, declared that he’s excited about the fight.

In a recent episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, Rogan talked about the two fighters and that he was curious about the outcome.
Recently, Joe Rogan invited the musician, winemaker, and martial artist, Maynard James Keenan, to the JRE podcast. Although the two talked about a multitude of topics, they had to touch on the upcoming Jake Paul versus Anderson Silva fight.
Keenan asked Rogan his thoughts on Silva going against ‘The Problem Child’. “How do you think SIlva is gonna do?”, asked Keenan. “Against Jake Paul? Well, it’s interesting!”, said Rogan.

Rogan stated that people have to take Paul seriously, and Keenan seconded the statement. He said, “Jake Paul is a big, heavy handed, young guy and if Jake Paul was just a boxer, and not a YouTuber, I think people would take him very seriously.”
Furthermore, he said, “You have to take him very seriously. He knocked out Tyron Woodley with one punch. He’s legit as f**k.”
Joe Rogan praised Silva and his skills. He said, “Anderson Silva is one of the greatest combat sports athletes of all time. One of the greatest MMA fighters of all time.” Silva’s take on the UFC, during his prime, is what impressed the commentator.
‘The Spider’ knocking out Vitor Belfort with a kick and submitting Chael Sonnen with an arm triangle, utterly amazed the audience, including Rogan.

Even as a boxer, Silva hasn’t failed to showcase his superiority. “And as a boxer, even though he’s 47 years old, he did beat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr, who was a legitimate former world champion and knocked out Tito Ortiz to show you that he’s got power. Obviously, Tito is not a boxer,” said Rogan.

Rogan claimed to be curious about the fight
To answer the question, Keenan put forth, Rogan said, “I’m curious. I don’t know what’s gonna happen.” Furthermore, he added that he was interested in the fight. Both fighters have made a name in the combat sports universe and Joe Rogan’s interest clearly displayed his excitement.

Although Silva’s strength is not unknown to the fans, the 47-year-old fighter has faced a decline following his leg injury. He hasn’t been the same as he was during his prime.
