Pros and fans react to Usman Nurmagomedov dominating at Bellator 288
Usman Nurmagomedov upheld the Dagestani mantle at Bellator 288. He maintained the threat of the takedown to keep Patricky Pitbull at bay. Nurmagomedov faced little to no resistance from the former champion as he took him down with ease and delivered vicious ground and pound.
Former UFC heavyweight champion and AKA stalwart Daniel Cormier reacted to the fight by saying:
Usman a bad boy!

Cormier also gave his thoughts on Usman Nurmagomedov’s performance during the fight. He mentioned how the young Dagestani was outclassing the more experienced champion.
Pit bull has thrown 35 punches or strikes over the course of 15 minutes. And landed 12. He’s stuck, he can’t figure how to attack Usman. He’s getting outclassed. #Bellator288live

Khabib Nurmagomedov is making a name as a coach
Khabib ‘The Eagle’ Nurmagomedov dominated the UFC lightweight division until his retirement. The grappling phenomenon retired after amassing a masterful 29-0 win streak. However, Nurmagomedov entered the MMA world again as a coach and is still collecting wins.
In October 2022, Nurmagomedov’s teammate Islam Makhachev won the lightweight title at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi. Makhachev made quick work of former champion Charles Oliveira and submitted him inside two rounds. Nurmagomedov is keeping his ‘father’s plan’ alive and well on track with these victories for his team.
