The UFC is back in action this May. And not with one, but they have 3 events lined up in the first half of the month.
UFC is set to return on the 9th of May. Dana White’s company has made immense efforts to pull this event off. But it doesn’t stop there. The fans will get 2 more days of power-packed UFC events on the 13th and 16th May. And that means 3 fight nights in the span of 7 days!
The fight cards are out. We are already hyped about the Justin Gaethje vs Tony Ferguson fight at the main event on the 9th. MMA Junkie also went ahead and hinted at the main events for the 13th and 16th as well.

On the 13th we’ll see Anthony Smith battle, Glover Teixeira, as the main event. Another fight on this card is the Michael Johnson vs Thiago Moises. This will be a lightweight bout and will for sure not disappoint.
Johnson and Morales were both previously scheduled to fight at the old UFC 249 card that was canceled due to the pandemic. Coronavirus had completely devoured all of Dana White’s plans, but he was determined to get his show back on the road.
Another fight on 13th May’s card is Alexander Hernandez vs Drew Dober. The original match was supposed to have Hernandez face Makhachev. But pandemic and travel bans played spoilsport. Hernandez was then booked against Omar Morales, but that too was canceled at the last minute.
Before securing this fight against Hernandez, Dober was supposed to take on Diego Ferreira, in Oklahoma City, Okla. But now the location and opponent have been changed. 13th’s event will now happen at Jacksonville, Florida.
UFC – 16th May
As for 16th May’s event, MMA Junkie reported, “ Pending finalization, perennial lightweight contender Edson Barboza will still make a planned move to featherweight, though it will now be against Dan Ige on May 16 in the promotion’s third event in eight days.”The fight will take place at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Fla.

Although he’s lost 4 out of his last 5 fights, Barboza has always got the cream for himself. His last match saw him drop a very close split decision to Paul Felder. Meanwhile, Ige is riding high on a 5 fight winning streak dating back to his first and only loss against Julio Arce. He most recently fought and beat Mirsad Bektić.
