UFC 270: Francis Ngannou vs Ciryl Gane
‘The Predator’ captured the title in his last fight against Stipe Miocic at UFC 260 by viciously knocking him out. Heading into that fight, he had scored four back-to-back first-round knockouts and recorded an average fight time of 40 seconds.
On his way to heavyweight glory, he violently dispatched fighters like Curtis Blaydes and Jairzinho Rozenstruik to establish himself as the best.
The Cameroon-born fighter has lethal speed for a man of his build and he’s able to beat his opponents to the punch. Couple that with extraordinary power and Ngannou is a force not to be trifled with. However, he’ll be well advised to map out Ciryl Gane’s movement in order to gain the upper hand in the striking realm.
Ciryl Gane secured the interim heavyweight title when he fought Derrick Lewis in his hometown of Houston, Texas, at UFC 265. ‘Bon Gamin’ earned a TKO over Lewis after tactically breaking down the ‘KO King’ of the UFC with precision power. Gane is undefeated at this stage of his career, and he’ll be looking to keep his unblemished record intact.

Gane’s footwork is amongst the best on the entire roster and he’s able to manipulate his opponents into range. Furthermore, he remains light on his feet and tracks his opponents with measured movements over the course of the contest. He will have to remain elusive right from the get-go in order to stay away from Ngannou’s power punching.
Prediction: Francis Ngannou to claim a second-round knockout
