UFC middleweight champion Israel Adesanya, and challenger Marvin Vettori, engaged in an explosive interview that was aired during the UFC Vegas 28 broadcast. Chiefly, both men were fired up, to say the least, and Michael Bisping did his best to moderate the contentious interaction.
‘The Last Stylebender’ led the dance from the get-go and launched a verbal assault on Vettori. He vowed to finish off the number three ranked contender and firmly establish that their close contest of 2018 was an anomaly. However, Marvin Vettori believes he had done enough to win the first fight and is confident he can close out the show in the rematch.

“I’m going to finish the job. You’re going to have zero hopes. You’re going to have no hope. After this fight… Shut the f**k up and listen, if you hear you might actually learn something. I’m going to give you zero hopes cause when the fights done, you’re going to look at me and know that I am better than you.”
Vettori responded with a rather pointed ‘please try’ to Adesanya’s comments and was met with further resistance from the champ.
“I don’t try, I do bi*ch. Oh, trust me, I will. All you did in your last fight was beat a bum that you laid on.”

UFC 263: Israel Adesanya vs Marvin Vettori heats up
Just a week out from the fight, it’s clear that UFC fans worldwide are in for an all-time classic next Saturday. There’s a lot of the line for the challenger who can become the first man to defeat Israel Adesanya at middleweight. Not to mention, a win would make Vettori the first Italian fighter to become UFC world champion.
As for Adesanya, who is coming off his first career loss, albeit at light heavyweight, will want to bounce back. Furthermore, he’s got a chip on his shoulder and wants to make sure there’s no doubt about his supremacy at middleweight. Marvin Vettori has challenged Adesanya’s claim of being the best, and ‘Izzy’ didn’t take too kindly to that.
