UFC women’s flyweight fighters, Gillian Robertson and Miranda Maverick have received a main card call-up for UFC 260 in Las Vegas. The aforementioned mentioned pay-per-view is potentially the final one at the Apex Facility for the foreseeable future. The company has had multiple marquee title fights take place at the Apex, which has been a cornerstone for keeping the organization running.
Valentina Shevchenko, who is an absolute tyrant in the cage, spearheads the women’s 125-pound division. ‘Bullet’ has had her foot firmly placed on the divisional contenders and there’s a need for a breakout challenger. Both Robertson and Maverick have solid wins, and they believe they possess the tools to get the job done.

UFC 260: Gillian Robertson vs Miranda Maverick
‘The Savage’ is coming off a loss in her last fight and is 2-1 in her last three outings. The 9-5 flyweight fighter has been consistent throughout her professional career in terms of competing frequently. However, her win streaks are oftentimes dashed with a loss that she suffers whilst coming in as the favorite to win.
Robertson’s significant strike per minute count leaves something to be desired and her output wanes in fights. She’s found more success in close range, and she’s more inclined towards accuracy over output. Maverick will probably be the more physically imposing presence, and Gillian Robertson will need to watch out for the clinch.
‘Fear the’ Maverick: Contention on the line?
UFC upstart Miranda Maverick is on a four-fight win streak and is coming off a TKO win in her UFC debut back in October. Maverick landed a crisp and quick blow to Liana Jojua’s nose that caused a rather nasty gaping cut. Prior to her debut win, she’s also picked up a few decisive wins at the Invicta FC promotion over names such as Pearl Gonzalez.
‘Fear the’ Maverick’s greatest weapon is her ability to suffocate her opponent and ensure that the walls are closing in. She’s more than competent on the canvas and has various different submissions to her name, including neck cranks and armbars. Not to mention, her chin being as reliable as it is will encourage her to move in with intensity.
