UFC welterweight Abubakar Nurmagomedov made his intentions known against Jared Gooden on the preliminary card for UFC 260. Abubakar earned the unanimous decision nod from the judges for a comprehensive showcase against a tried and tested 170-pounder. Abubakar Nurmagomedov was 1-1-1 going into the aforementioned contest and was keen to scalp a win. Another loss in the cage could have been disastrous for his prospects in the welterweight division. The weight class is booming and there’s a marketplace for new talent to emerge.
