UFC President Dana White has been on the frontlines of the war against Coronavirus. Setting up a dialogue between UFC officials and that from the government and administration to the highest of levels, all the way up to President Donald Trump.
However, many feel that the way White has been leading the quest for normalcy is an erratic and irresponsible move. His relentlessness has forced him to fend off vicious attacks and criticism from “wimpy, weak people,” as he so eloquently puts it.
White claims that both, President Trump and himself feel that sports could become a source of entertainment and respite through these trying times.

“The President feels that sports should be first. We should figure out sports, let them come out, give the people something to watch. How do you put people back in cubicles? How do you send kids back to school? Things like this are gonna be much harder than figuring out sporting events,” claims White, while talking about the nature of the conversations that take place on those calls.
As far as Dana White is concerned, he fees the calls have been rather beneficial for everyone. The influx of ideas and questions from varying perspectives will only help the UFC make their upcoming events safer.

Dana White More Relentless than Ever
Dana White’s determination to bring everything back to normal had him driving his team harder than ever. Having to cancel UFC 249 on April 18th, White claims he called in his crew the very next day to start working on the May 9th event.
White cracked the code for making an event of this magnitude a reality. Support from the bureaucracy is what turns the wheels in any situation and more so when the whole world is on lockdown to break the chain of infection.

We’re willing to spend the money it’s gonna cost to make this as safe and this can possibly be. I want politicians and athletic commissions to work with us, not against us,” says White in his interview with Barstool Sports as he talks about putting the event together.
