Henry Cejudo is locked and ready for the 9th of May. He’s hyped and ready to make his return into the Octagon.

Henry Cejudo is set to face Dominick Cruz at UFC’s spectacular return even this May. The fight will be the co-main event of the night, with the bantamweight title hanging in the balance.

Cejudo was originally supposed to take on Jose Aldo at UFC 249. But unfortunately, this couldn’t follow through. With the pandemic situation and travel bans in place, Aldo will be unable to fly out of Brazil. And therefore now, Dominick Cruz will step up to fill this vacancy.

Speaking about Cruz replacing Jose Aldo, he said, “He hit the lottery. Congratulations Dominick! You little brittle princess, I hope you show up on May 9th. You’re next! I realized halfway through my camp that Aldo would be out with this whole quarantine thing and whatnot. And I knew if I could get Aldo, I want Dominick Cruz next.”

Cejudo also spoke about the changes in his training camp. He loves how personal this feels. With pandemic safety measures in place, there are fewer people and he likes it that way. It’s probably the best training camp he’s ever been a part of.

Cejudo also compared Cruz to all the fighters in the bantamweight division and ranked him accordingly. He said, “Honestly, I think he’s probably number 4 or number 3. People are also forgetting Renan Barao. But I don’t really care. I’m on a legend rampage. You can line them all up. Dana White can line them all up, from fight pass to the main event, you line all the greatest bantamweights and I’ll take them all out.”
