The octagon was not the only place that saw action during UFC 248. Apart from the fighters stepping up to each other, UFC 248 saw things heating up between Brian Ortega and Chan Sung Jung’s companion, Jay Park.
“There was a lot of crazy sh*t going on tonight. It was weird. [Ortega] and The Zombie got in a fight which is completely unlike both of their personalities. Zombie doesn’t even speak English so I don’t know what the hell he could have said to get Ortega to start going crazy but yeah, it was weird.” Dana White said during the post-fight conference
Reportedly the altercation took place due to The Korean Zombie’s trash talk last month, referring to Ortega. Jung came on Ariel Helwani’s show claiming that Ortega was ducking a fight against him. With Jay Park alongside him who acted as an interpreter.

Ortega came out on social media following Jung’s call out. T-City seemingly followed through on his claims.
“Jay Park welcome to the fight game. Don’t be surprised if I slap the f**k out of you when I see you.” Brian Ortega wrote.
Dana White responded to questions about whether any legal action will be taken against Ortega.
“Listen, we don’t want that. We don’t want anyone getting arrested.”- Dana White on legal action.
The altercation took place when Jung had left his seat with Park to use the restroom. Soon a video of Brian Ortega being escorted out of the arena by the security surfaced.
Jung unsurprisingly did not take kindly to this. He took to social media to call out T-City. Calling Ortega a coward for raising his hand on a non-fighter.

Paulo Costa was asked to vacate the premises on account of his behavior much like Ortega. Costa termed the fight as a “Horrible fight”. He adds that it was a shame to watch that match. He also claims that Adesanya is the most shameful champion ever. Costa was scheduled to take on Adesanya at UFC 248 but he had to back out due to an injury.
Ortega and Jung were supposed to face each other in the octagon at UFC Busan last year. But Ortega had to pull out of the fight because of an ACL injury. Jung took on Frankie Edgar instead. Dana White will be looking to book both Ortega and Jung for a fight in the near future.
