Joanna Jedrzejczyk recently took to social media to update fans about her condition. The former UFC champion talks about the multiple bruises that she suffered after her title fight with Zhang Weili.
The video shows the Polish fighter showcasing the progress of the injuries she sustained in the 5 round battle. The nature of these injuries was so serious that many people would say she did not even look the same.
MMA fans all over the world have been hailing the war between the two fighters as the biggest fight of the year. And rightly so, the co-main event managed to outshine the main event between Israel Adesanya and Yoel Romero at UFC 248 by miles.

The fight did not come without a price. A price that eventually Jedrzejczyk had to pay. The visible effect of Weili’s punches began to show towards the final rounds of the fight. A large swelling became apparent on the 32-year-old fighter’s forehead.

Even though Jedrzejczyk was handed the loss by split decision at the end of 5 truly gruesome rounds, she seems to be in high spirits. Updating her fans about her whereabouts. She shows off her mud mask in the short video.

The has had a tough time as she was dealt a loss 3 times in her last 5 fights. Her first loss came against Rose Namajunas back in 2018 by unanimous decision in Brooklyn, New York.
After that, she faced a loss against Valentina Shevchenko in the Women’s Flyweight title fight at UFC 231 in December 2018. Her latest loss came against Weili, the effects of which can still be seen.
