McGregor’s behavior before the Khabib Nurmagomedov fight at UFC 229 and his recent antics outside the octagon have questioned his professionalism as an athlete. However, McGregor has shown a very different side of him in the recent media interaction in the lead up to UFC 246. He has been respectful towards his opponent, and the press conference concluded without any drama or trash talking. However, McGregor did take witty digs at the UFC veteran. With all the attention behind one of the greatest mixed martial artist, McGregor has opened up about the pressure and downsides of being famous. In the recently concluded UFC Media Day, he said.

“You know what the bad is. You know what bad comes with this life. Sometimes it feels like a witch-hunt at times. It’s not so much on me, I am cool with it. I understand it. It’s my family and things like that. It gets a bit heavy at times. But I understand that it’s a necessary evil. And I also understand, people have real problems. I rolled up in my Rolls Royce truck. My family is back home, and playing in my vegas home. People have real problems, so I am very very blessed. Although it comes with its downsides, it’s upsides, I am very proud and grateful for that.”

McGregor talked about the pressure that comes with the life that he is enjoying right now. Conor remained in the media for all the wrong reasons after losing to Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 229. He was accused of sexual assault, and his video hitting an old man in the bar brought criticism on the internet. However, he understood the reasons it exists and welcomes it as a necessary evil. Conor McGregor has been repeatedly assured us that it is the best he has ever felt. Taking that into account, Donald Cerrone will have a tough time when he goes face to face with Conor at UFC 246 this Saturday.
