Colby Covington takes on the UFC welterweight champion, Kamaru Usman in the main event of UFC 245. There has been a long rivalry between Usman and Covington. After a ton of speculations whether this title fight was going to happen or not, UFC finally announced this fight as the main event for UFC 245.

Going into this fight fans are expecting a lot of trash talk from the most polarizing personalities in MMA, Colby Covington and they got a little glimpse of that during the first press conference of UFC 245. However, one thing stood out from everything else Covington said the Usman.

Colby Covington accused the welterweight champion of using steroids. They were supposed to fight in UFC 244 this weekend, however, due to negotiation conflict between Covington and UFC, the fight was rescheduled to UFC 245. Well, according to Covington that was not the real reason. Covington said:

“There is a reason I am not fighting this weekend. You might wanna ask this guy. He pissed hot. he could not pass a piss test. So that’s the real reason. He had to get EPO out of his system for this weekend.”

Covington even challenged Usman to take a test right now to prove that he is not on PEDs.

“Everybody knows you are in EPO. I will pay you 25000 dollars if you can pee in the cup and it passes. I will bring it right now.” Covington continued.

Kamaru Usman did not respond the first time, but later he said:

“They all say that. With the way I am beating guys, they all say that. But, it’s what it’s and December 14th there will be a beheading and everyone will see it and watch it live.”

Kamaru Usman has not failed the drug tests yet. However, a few of his teammates from Blackzillians have popped for steroids in the past. Bringing that up, Covington continued:

“Everybody knows the Blackzillians team is notorious for doing steroids. Anthony Johnson, Rashad Evans, Alistair Overeem when he was over there. I had inside information that he was doing EPOs for a couple of years. And that’s the fact. He has no good response. He can’t even defend himself. So I think it’s pretty clear. But when I get my hands on him he will melt.

The trash talk is already getting out of hands with Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman. With almost a month to go for UFC 245, we can assume that there is a lot more to come.
