We have seen fights getting finished in the very last moment of quite a few time. The fight between Yair Rodriguez and Korean Zombie comes to mind when Rodriguez knocked out his opponent with a beautiful elbow from the back. Well, it was a much different scenario in this fight between Kaseem and Yeon Kim. Kim was pouring it on Kaseem for the last few seconds of the second round.
Kaseem was hurt badly as she was not able to defend the shots coming from Kin properly. It was a vicious jab that snapped back Kaseem’s head and it was the beginning of the end. Ji Yeon Kim saw the opportunity and landed some heavy shots to the head and a couple of shots to the body as Kaseem tried to curl and save herself from more damage.
Kaseem did show some heart against his own nation and tried to weather the storm. She tried to get some offense going with a leg kick. However, Kim’s body shots were just one too many for Kaseem as the referee stopped the fight at 4.59 of round 2.
