One of the most popular names that can be witnessed this year in this event is Rory McIlroy. He has had an excellent year so far. Rory has twelve top-ten finishes besides a fourth position in both the BMW Championship and the TOUR Championship.
Apart from McIlroy, Jon Rahm will also be seen making a stop at the English course before the Ryder Cup tees off in Rome later this month. This star golfer has won a major this year, the Masters. Besides, he also stood at T2 in the Open Championship.
Alongside them, Viktor Hovland will also be seen showcasing his great form, after the stellar win at the FedEx Cup Playoffs. Even the European Ryder Cup captain Luke Donald is part of the field. Defending champion Shane Lowry is also in the fray and will look to make it two in two.
It’s an 18-hole layout in Kentwood Country Club. A cut after the first leg of the tournament, that is after two rounds, will take the best 70 players (including ties) into the weekend action. The stakes are high at the event.
