Bangladesh defeated England by 34 Runs to win the second ODI in Mirpur. Hosts Bangladesh did not start well but recovered well later on with the bat, to post 238 and then the bowlers lead by Mashrafe Mortaza backed the effort. Mahmudullah scored an important 75 and the total received a nitro boost with Mortaza’s quick fire 44 lower down the order smashing 3 Sixes in the innings.
Bangladeshi Skipper Mortaza returned to hurt England, with the ball this time as he picked up four wickets wickets to rattle the visitors. Taskin Ahmed and Shakib too contributed. Jos Buttler made 53 but couldn’t carry on. He also had a heated exchange with the home team players after he got out. Lastly, England after some fight from the tail, were short of the target by 34 runs. The series is now level at 1-1, and seems to be Interesting.
