The opening day of the IPL 2020 Auction is now in full swing and the bidding battles are getting feisty. During the auction, Australian duo Pat Cummins and Glenn Maxwell were sold for exorbitant amounts. Both players became the highest-bid players on the first day and they will have to work hard to prove themselves worthy of the amount of coin spent on them.

Meanwhile, Twitter went into a meltdown when the final amounts for the duo were revealed. Pat Cummins came with a base price of Rs 2 crore, and he saw his value skyrocket.

It wasn’t long before he took the title of most expensive overseas buy, with Kolkata Knight Riders shelling a whopping 15.50 crore. Maxwell would don the Kings XI Punjab jersey once again, this time for 10.75 crore.
