Lewis Hamilton stormed to a sixth win in seven races to have a 19 point advantage over his title rival and teammate Nico Rosberg at Hockenheim in the German Grand Prix.

Hamilton shot into the lead at the start from second on the grid as Rosberg slipped to fourth, due to excess wheel spin at the start.

Rosberg was penalised for forcing Red Bull’s Max Verstappen off the track. Eventually, the German finished fourth after a difficult afternoon.

The German finished behind Red Bull’s Daniel Ricciardo and Verstappen after being unable to make up the lost time.

Hamilton dominated the race right from the first lap building a healthy gap ahead of the two Red Bulls. In seven races, Hamilton has turned his season around, moving from a 43-point deficit to Rosberg after five races to his current advantage of just six points short of an entire win. This was his fourth consecutive victory.
