The Royal Challengers Bangalore faced off against the Kings XI Punjab at the Holkar Stadium today. To be perfectly honest, it wasn’t much of a contest at all. KXIP were put in to bat first and were demolished in 15 overs by RCB. They somehow put up a paltry 88 runs with all wickets down. KL Rahul, Chris Gayle and Aaron Finch were the only players in the double digits with 21, 18 and 26 runs respectively. Pretty much all the bowlers, save for Tim Southee snagged a wicket.
When RCB came out to bat, it was pretty much a walk in the park for them. Openers Virat Kohli and Parthiv Patel ran riot and easily reached the target score. It only took them 8.1 overs to hit the jackpot.
