French F1 driver Pierre Gasly has officially confirmed that he will be joining the Red Bull team in 2019. The 22-year old took to Twitter to confirm the news, followed later by a statement from Red Bull. With this, another piece of the 2019 F1 puzzle has fallen in place. Gasly will partner Max Verstappen in place of the outgoing Daniel Ricciardo. Here is how Twitter reacted to the news.
Now that @PierreGASLY is out of @ToroRosso, who is to drive for the Italian team next year as there is nearly no more @redbullracing young drivers in the pipe? https://t.co/cq7GyDRlkz

Amazing opportunity for Pierre Gasly to go to Red Bull. A year ago we were unsure if he'd have an F1 career but he's done a great job in his short time at Toro Rosso. A great talent with good knowledge of the Honda PU which will be handy for next year #F1

Huge news for @PierreGASLY this evening as he's confirmed as a @redbullracing driver for 2019. Had the pleasure of chatting to Pierre at pre-season testing and he was very enthusiastic about the prospect of working with Honda in F1. https://t.co/u1wrkzMm0V
