We all knew it was trouble when we got to know that it was raining hard in Monaco at the start. A start behind the safety lap followed by varying strategies up and down ensured a lot of mix ups.
There were lockups, crashes, missed chicanes all along. But at the end of all this Lewis Hamilton emerged victorious to take his 44th race victory, taking what was rightfully his even last year. His job was made easy after Red Bull screwed Ricciardo’s race again by messing up the pitstops.
Sergio Perez topped off the last podium with a brilliant strategic move while Alonso finished fifth ahead of Nico Hulkenberg and Nico Rosberg in 6th and 7th.

The other big moments came from Ferrari’s lack of pace, Kimi Raikkonen’s and Max Verstappen’s crash.
Verstappen became a zero from a hero considering his win last week.
The two Saubers also foolishly collided with each other ending both of their races.
