It was a dream evening for this 25 year old from Britain, as he geared up to face arguably the greatest player ever in his second grand slam match. Entering the centre court alongside Federer, Marcus Willis had a familiar logo on his left sleeve – ‘RF’. What followed was one of the most entertaining evenings at SW19. Willis smiled his way out on the centre court, shaking his head in disbelief and enjoyed his time facing the seven time champion.
The crowd cheered when Federer missed a forehand, went nuts when Willis finally won a game and applauded every fist pump of player ranked 772 in the world.
No surprises, twitter was buzzing his name too and here are some of the best tweets about this electrifying evening.
