West Indies defeated India by seven wickets on Thursday night at Wankhede, Mumbai to reach the final of the World T20 2016. Batting first, India posted a huge total of 192/2 on the board. Virat Kohli, top scored with 89 off just 47 balls. Rohit Sharma ( 43 off 31 balls ) & Ajinkya Rahane ( 40 off 35 balls ) were brilliant with the bat as well.
Chasing down 193, West Indies were in a state of bother early on in the innings as they lost their first two wickets for just 19 runs. But Charles’ brilliant knock of 52 off 36 balls & Lendl Simmons’ blistering innings of 82 off 51 balls kept the West Indies in the hunt. And Andre Russell did his part with the bat as he scored 43 off just 20 to finish the game for the Windies. West Indies will now face England on the 3rd of April at Eden Gardens, Kolkata in the final of World T20 2016.
Here how Twitter reacted as the West Indies stunned an entire nation.
