The 26-year old England & Nottinghamshire batsmen James Taylor was forced to retire from cricket after being diagnosed with a serious heart condition. Taylor, who played seven Tests and 27 ODIs for the Three Lions, withdrew from last week’s fixture against Cambridge MCCU with what was believed to be a viral condition. But the scans revealed yesterday that Taylor suffers from ARVC ( Arrhythmogenic Right Ventricular Cardiomyopathy ). He has to now undergo an operation, which will take place in coming days.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to this heartbreaking news.
Safe to say this has been the toughest week of my life! My world is upside down. But I'm here to stay and I'm battling on! #lifestooshort 😝🤒
