England defeated New Zealand in an all-important semi-final game of World T20 2016 on Wednesday night at Ferozshah Kotla, Delhi. England won the toss & invited New Zealand to bat first.

Colin Munro scored 46 off 32 balls & Kane Williamson scored 32 off 28 balls as the Kiwis ended their innings with a decent score of 153 for 8 on the board. England’s Ben Stokes was the pick of the bowlers as he finished his spell of 4 overs with the figures of 26 for 3.

England openers provided a blistering start to the chase as Jason Roy scored 78 off 44 balls and Alex Hales scored 20 off 19 balls. England lost Jason Roy and Eoin Morgan on consecutive deliveries but Joe Root ( 27 off 22 balls ) & Jos Buttler ( 32 off 17 balls ) chased down the total with 17 balls to spare.
