The English batsmen hammered the Pakistan Bowlers as England broke the record of the highest total in One Day Internationals. Their score of 444/3 surpassed Sri Lanka’s 443/9 against Netherlands in 2006.
The English innings saw the talented Alex Hales score his all time high in ODI’s of 171 in just 122 balls. He was ably accompanied by the Joe Root who missed his century by 15 runs. Later, one of the best pinch hitter of modern cricket Jos Butler took charge and scored 90 off just 51 deliveries.
