The lockdown on tennis has made players spend more time with their families. World No.2 Rafael Nadal earlier admitted he has been cooking and spending time in his hometown of Mallorca. Serena Williams has been playing around with her daughter and posting pictures that have taken the internet by storm. And 20-Time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer hasn’t been with his kids for this long.
Federer has been on tour for over two decades. And so the Swiss hasn’t spent more than a few weeks at home. Federer has 103 titles and to win that he has traveled all over the world.
Recently, Federer accompanied his kids to the Advanced Tennis Camp in Switzerland with his family. It is quite rare that we see Federer traveling around with his wife and four kids.

In the few photos shared, the Federer kids were seen actively training with other children. They were very jubilant. Many fans commented on how much Federer’s children have grown. Generally, Federer rarely brings his kids to the major tournaments.
This lockdown period has made Federer think about his priorities. For now, his priorities lie around tennis. But obviously, his family will also be important and so he could retire when he feels he needs to change his priorities.
“We’ve been chasing around after the kids the best we can on our own, but I think this strange time has given us a chance to reflect and take stock of what really matters, which is family, friends, health, and happiness,” Federer said in an interview with Miami Living Magazine

Federer married former WTA player Mirka Federer in 2009. The same year Mirka gave birth to twin girls. And later in 2015, the couple had another pair of identical twins, this time, boys.
This camp could well be the starting point of another Federer’s career. Let’s see if Federer’s twins take up tennis and follow in the great man’s footsteps.
