Norwegian golfer Victor Hovland had a great circuit this season as the golfer bagged the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup. Hovland, following his win, is now the third youngest golfer to win the prestigious cup. The twenty-five-year-old has had a great season so far with 3 cups to his name bumping himself to the fourth place in the World rankings.
Following his win, Hovland was presented with a special gift from the lead sponsor, Coca-Cola. The Norwegian was asked to pose next to a Coke vending machine while he was presented with a Coca-Cola bottle with his name on it. However, after posing with the bottle, Hovland returned it, claiming he only drinks Coke Zero.

Hovland’s actions have not gone unnoticed by fans who compared him to soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo. While Hovland has not been reprimanded for his actions, Cristiano’s actions had a big ripple effect as players following his press conference tried to do the same but were told not to do so.

Coca-Cola, which was valued at $56.10 per stock, dropped down to $55.22 following Cristiano’s actions. Following the incident, the company had to come out in public and issue a statement. The company mentioned that everyone was entitled to their own drink preferences based on their choices.
