First aired in 2021, ManningCast has featured many A-List celebrity guests. These include current and former NBA and NFL players, coaches, comedians, actors, and more. Now that they are scouting for a third co-host, the dynamic duo has been holding auditions to find the ‘Manning trifecta’ that fits just right. The auditions saw many famous faces compete for the spot.

These included the likes of Tom Brady, Mike Tyson, Kirk Cousins, and even Reese Witherspoon. But a certain QB has caught the NFL off-guard while auditioning to complete the trio.

In a video released on Tuesday, Detroit Lions’ starting quarterback Jared Goff also auditions for the part. Goff kicks things off “in front of” Peyton and Eli by saying, “Hi, I’m Jared Goff, quarterback here to audition.”

“So Jared,” says Peyton Manning, “how excited are you about the opportunity to be on the most popular show on television?”

“Isn’t this for the ManningCast?” Goff deadpans in response.

Each guest on the show had a touchdown-worthy zinger. Tyson said the Manning brothers had some of the most punchable faces in the world. The cousins screamed, “You like that!” right back at Peyton Manning in an awesome to-and-fro exchange. McDaniels, meanwhile, straight up said the Manning brothers were terrible at what they do.

The video also featured a taunt parade of sorts with the celebs referencing Peyton’s insurance advertising career, the brothers’ clothing, and even Peyton’s unwillingness to run the called play at the line of scrimmage. Witherspoon said she had actually mistaken the duo for her “insurance guys”. It ends with future Hall of Famer Tom Brady in the waiting room as the lights go out.
