Respawn and Electronic Arts have had to cancel or postpone major tournaments such as the Apex Legends Global Series due to the global coronavirus pandemic scenario. But, Apex Legends fans have exciting content to look forward to this week.
The upcoming season dubbed Fortune’s Favor in the battle royale will kick-off tomorrow, May 12. Following up with the launch of the most hyped-up season in the game, one of the most prominent esports organizations, Team SoloMid, will host its invite-only tournament on live servers.
Team SoloMid to host it’s own Apex Legends tournament

The professional esports organization announced the tournament on its official Twitter handle. Named TSM Invitational: Apex Legends, it will feature a total of 20 teams that will go head to head for $25,000 on May 17 (Sunday) at 1 pm PT, just five days after season five releases. The tournament, being an invite-only event, will likely consist of some of our favorite content creators and pro players.

Apart from that, each of the 20 teams will have a captain. Although the participants are yet to be announced, the organization asked fans to “tag which content creators you want to see compete.”. Therefore, fans have already mentioned a host of names they want to see participating in the online competition. TSM will provide more information about the competitors as the tournament approaches kick-off so keep checking.
Apex Legends Season 5 will bring several changes to the gameplay. A new legend named Loba will be joining the game alongside several changes to the Kings Canyon. New locations will be added to the battle royale’s map, and players will bid farewell to Skull Town. This means individuals competing in the TSM Invitational: Apex Legends will barely have enough time to test their skills and showcase them during the tournament.
