The American tennis champion Serena Williams continues to have a great impact on sports culture around the globe. Her athleticism and her raw power have inspired many, even outside tennis. Like all great athletes of the world, the 39-year-old is passing down her knowledge to her child.
LeBron James, one of the greatest basketball players, uploaded an inspirational post on his Instagram page. The carousel post compiled Serena Williams, Tiger Woods and himself teaching their children their beloved sport.
The No. 23 for the LA Lakers wrote, “Giving everything we’ve learned over the years right back to the ones who ULTIMATELY inspires us!” Lebron also added #Legacy as the rightful tag for this collage of great athletes. The post has earned close to 2.6 million likes till now and has even gotten a response from tennis’ former No. 1.

The 23-time Grand Slam winner responded with “Truly spoken” written over her and Olympia’s picture. It is due to the pandemic induced lockdown that allowed Williams to spend more time with her family.
The mother-daughter duo has taken up karaoke and baking among other activities while quarantining at home. However, the mother-daughter duo sharing a tennis court is one of the greatest pictures of passing down the legacy.
At 39, the 4-time Olympic Gold medalist is passionate to compete and contribute more to tennis. She is not just an example for her daughter, but for all individuals with a drive to keep excelling. Serena is only one major tournament title behind Margaret Court’s all-time most Grand Slam titles record.

Serena all set play the Australian Open 2021

The tennis world will next see the World No. 11 play at the Australian Open 2021. Serena and Caroline Wozniacki will also compete in an exhibition match as a farewell to the latter. The event had been cancelled last year due to the pandemic outbreak. But Wozniacki’s desire to play Serena as her last professional match will be fulfilled.

Staying committed and passionate towards one’s goal is one of the many things Williams stands up for. When her 3-year-old daughter Olympia grows up, she’ll have a great deal of learning all about her mother’s achievements. Above all, it is Serena herself who is the guiding beacon for her daughter.
