Since releasing in March, tens of millions of players have flocked to Call of Duty: Warzone to taste the classic Call of Duty elements in a battle royale environment. Despite being one of the best battle royale experiences out there, Warzone also shelters some troublesome bugs.

One of these notorious glitches featured a helicopter exploit that allowed players to go underneath the map and stack free kills. Upon noticing the issue, the developers removed choppers from the game and added them back recently after patching a hotfix for the glitch.

Now, yet another frustrating glitch has surfaced in Call of Duty Warzone, making players unable to respawn fallen teammates.

“The selected squadmate is already back in action.”

Warzone offers players multiple opportunities to respawn after they die. Players enter the Gulag after being downed the first time, where they fight for redeployment. Other than that, teammates can spend in-game cash anytime to respawn their fallen friend. But an annoying bug has popped up that renders players’ ability to buy redeployment for teammates ineffective, despite having adequate money to do so.

Unfortunately, when players try to buy back their fallen teammates for $4500 at the buy stations, sometimes they are displayed a message claiming “the selected squadmate is already back in action.”. This frustrates and demoralizes the player who survived long enough to gather enough money to revive each teammate.

Some players seem to have figured a workaround for this bug. Letting another teammate purchase the redeployment or heading to different buy stations could work.

Although the bug seems to occur infrequently, some players have reported the game-breaking issue over the past month. KrisLuck is one of them. He posted a clip of the glitch on Twitter and tagged Joe Cecot, Co-Design Director of Multiplayer at Infinity Ward. In the clip, he encounters the issue repeatedly while trying to buy back his teammate. Eventually, an enemy kills Kris after his luck ran out.

Later, Joe Cecot replied to KrisLuck, saying, “Fix coming in next update.”. For now, it is not certain when the update will be coming or from where the bug has generated. One certain thing though, is that, if you encounter this glitch, don’t stay at the same buy station trying to redeploy your teammate repeatedly. It might get you killed as it did for Kris. Hopefully, Infinity Ward addresses the issue soon, while we wait and watch.
