Chelsea are reportedly looking to table a player plus cash deal for £43-million rated Antoine Griezmann, with Salah or Filipe Luis moving the other way. The Frenchman remains high on Jose Mourinho’s wish list, according to Spanish newspapers.
Salah is set to decide today whether he wants to spend another season on loan at Fiorentina after impressing in Serie A last term.
Atletico, however, are digging their heels in for the full fee, with boss Diego Simeone expected to recommend that Chelsea’s offer is rejected when he meets with club directors this week.
Atletico would find it hard to deny a cash offer for the full £43m. PSG and Bayern Munich are also tracking Griezmann, who is one of Europe’s hottest properties, and are ahead of Chelsea in the race to sign him.
Griezmann has been one of the best buys for Diego Simeone. He has been exceptional for Atletico lately, scoring 25 goals for them in around 40 games. He was second striker and still managed 20 plus goals and 6 assists. The talented Frenchman was also among the Top 5 players for maximum number of chances created in La Liga.
Griezmann has great ball control and is quick coupled with a great work rate. The youngster has attracted interest from all over Europe.
