Real Madrid are willing to add Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappé to their already star-studded list of summer transfers as the Frenchman is keen to leave the Parc de Princes.

The 20-year old hinted a possible departure from the club late last month as he expressed his desire to take up a new project. “This is a very important moment for me. I am arriving at maybe the first or second turning point in my career. I have learned so much here”, Mbappé said.

“It is maybe the moment to have more responsibilities, maybe at PSG, with pleasure, or elsewhere for a new project”, he claimed.

It has also been reported that Kylian Mbappé is increasingly frustrated with the wages provided to his compatriot Neymar, who is earning around 27 million euros more than the 10 million paid to the Frenchman.

Real Madrid, however, would provide Mbappé with a much-improved salary package given that the World Cup winner will be considered the top-most player at the club. Eden Hazard’s recent acquisition will also make him one of Real Madrid’s best-paid players with the Belgian ready to earn £400K-a-week, almost double of what he was earning at Chelsea.

Kylian Mbappé was previously linked with Real Madrid following his breakthrough season with AS Monaco. Real Madrid bosses were close to signing the forward for 180m plus add-ons, but because the Spanish giants had the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale in their ranks then, Mbappé was not sure of a regular starting position.

Former Paris-Saint Germain boss Unai Emery confirmed in an interview last month that the club’s hierarchy convinced Mbappé to stay at the club despite the continued interest from Madrid.

“Among everybody we convinced him about the project in France and made him stay – we had to set money over the table. He wanted Madrid eyes closed”, said the current Arsenal boss.

Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann has been linked with a move to the Ligue 1 champions following his decision to leave the Spanish heavyweights last month. Barcelona were initially linked with the 28-year old, but the Frenchman is reportedly set to join Paris Saint-Germain.

Griezmann’s arrival could prove to be another major push for Kylian Mbappé, who could finally leave Paris to complete his “dream” transfer.
