Félix “xQc” Lengyel was under the spotlight for all the wrong reasons recently. Twitch handed xQc a temporary ban on his main account on the streaming platform following a stream-sniping incident in a Fall Guys Twitch Rivals tournament.
Félix immediately apologized after the incident through a tweet. He also admitted that what he did was wrong and therefore doesn’t want anyone to defend him. However, fellow streamer Trainwreck recently put up a tweet defending xQc.

While many streamers and content creators called xQc out for breaking the rules, there were a few that tried to defend the Twitch streamer. They also called the organizers of the Twitch Rivals tournament out for being unfair and biased toward Félix. They believe the platform targetted the Twitch partner specifically, even though various other participants had also committed the same offense.
Trainwreck came out in defense of xQc. He posted a tweet highlighting the alleged bias on the organizer’s part in the way they dealt with this situation. He alleged that there were various others who had engaged in stream sniping to win games.

my man xqc catches a ban sniping in a tourney where the creators & organizers had no issue allowing W's to be counted by THEIR snipers, but as soon it threatened a possible L, it became one. If the crowns given by snipers were refused, then & only then would he be in the wrong

Train also said that xQc should only be punished if the organizers punish other offenders too.

Train might be in the minority with this opinion as many feel otherwise. Streamers like Shroud have noted that this is probably the first instance of a Twitch partner engaging in such a practice in a Twitch Rivals tournament. Moreover, since Félix broke the rules live on his stream, others feel that not punishing him sets a bad precedent.
The question that now remains is not whether what xQc did was wrong, since he already admitted guilt, but whether Twitch handled the situation fairly. Twitch might face a lot of backlash if Train’s argument gets traction, but it is unlikely the platform will now reverse its decision.
